The Urban League Central Illinois Young Professionals (YP) Chapter was formed in September 2005. The YP chapter is a network of young professionals within the Central Illinois area.
The goal is to provide leadership development, economic empowerment, and community volunteer opportunities for young professionals.
The YP Chapter will support the goals and mission of the McLean County Urban League and the Tri- County (Peoria) Urban League local affiliates by serving the communities and developing their members through mentoring, tutoring, scholarships, economic empowerment, political engagement, and development programs.
The organization will train, develop, and educate young professionals to take leadership roles within the local Urban League affiliates. Members of YP will be defining, developing, implementing, and leading the next generation civil rights agenda.
